The Old Rectory Donard - Welcome

The Rectory was built in 1711 as a residence for the Church of Ireland Minister servicing the local parish churches of Donard & Donoughmore. In 1988 it was purchased by Ann Maria Dunne. The Old Rectory Centre is a wonderful, serene location, now providing a venue for Weddings, Retreats, Courses and Vacations. Ann Maria also offers Mindfulness Meditation Retreats Days and Residential Retreats, as well as exceptional quality health, healing and wellness treatments.

The Old Rectory can easily accommodate 27 guests, providing a location for Weddings, a perfect space for retreats, workshops and group work of all kinds. The Hermitage cottage is available to rent on a daily basis & offers individuals a place for quiet time out, to reflect, meditate write or paint. The hermitage is located in a contemplative Zen Meditation garden an ideal space for rest & renewal. The Retreat Centre also offers days of Mindfulness & residential Silent Retreats. The Old Rectory is owned and operated by Ann Maria Dunne who has 23 years experience in organising special events which she does with care and attention to detail. She looks forward to welcoming you and your guests to The Old Rectory.

"Over the past 20 years my professional life has been closely linked to working with people in a supportive role as therapist, group facilitator, mentor and retreat guide. I am a trained Mindfulness meditation teacher and enjoy teaching silent retreats at The Old Rectory. My commitment is to living mindfully and teaching Mindfulness as a way of life. Ceremony and ritual have always been an important part of my work with groups. I look forward to working with couples to create and conduct ceremonies for their special occasions. I am qualified independent celebrant with a diploma in Celebrancy, Naming and Couples Ceremonies (QCF)"
